An online blog created by William "Bill"​ N. Phillips Jr of Southern New Jersey that is 'a modern day cornucopia'​ where all opinions are welcome. In August 2004 originally added as a Web Content Specialist then over time became the Web Content Manager managing the overall user experience and contributing the majority of the posts.

 

Posts range from current events to politics to local often re-posting noteworthy articles or columns that would otherwise no longer be online - to preserve for posterity. Series where articles from the past are labeled or tagged to chain them for easy navigation. The blog surpassed a half million hits in late 2018.

Phillips Philes Managing improvements: recruited three new members to post to the blog; put relevant music videos to articles to help get the point across or to spoof; maintained the layout of the blog, added links, top pictures and footer news feeds; added a hits counter

Volunteer Web Content Specialist
CHRISTOPHER REEVE HOMEPAGE

1997 - Present

​

A fansite dedicated to unofficially supplying information on actor and lobbyist Christopher Reeve. Based in Australia and run by Steve Younis, the owner and editor who is also a professional graphics designer, and also four international volunteer Web Content Specialists. Most active years contributing to the website was 1997 to 2006. Since Reeve and his wife died, the website exists as an information powerhouse on Reeve's career that those researching him for a project must check out.

Suggested content and user experience improvements implemented at the Christopher Reeve Homepage include adding dozens of related links on Reeve; adding pictures and a large Photo Gallery;  writing, editing and assembling several reviews in the Movie Reviews section; 
help write and organize questions for our exclusive interviews with June Fox in 1998, Jim Bowers in 1999 and Jo Addie in 2000; assembled the Transcripts page with Reeve chats, government-related documents, select media interviews, select speeches, press conferences; beefed up the Recent News section early years with missing items and also added new entries until Reeve's death; helped assemble quotes for the tribute pages on Christopher and Dana Reeve; same with the two pages on Reeve's books Still Me​ and Nothing Is Impossible​ adding covers from around the world; various other things like improving the Biography text; ideas for starting a chat room, message board and Yahoo club for fans. 

 

With another Chris Reeve Homepage specialist assisted author Walt Oleksy with his book People In The News: Christopher Reeve​ published in 2000 and are thanked in the book; with the same specialist also assisted author Larry Tye with book research on Superman IV: The Quest For Peace​ related lawsuit against Reeve and are cited in the Bibliography of Tye's book Superman: The High-Flying History of America's Most Enduring Hero published in 2012

Full-time interim Bookkeeper in a high volume fast-paced office for over two months when former boss was on maternity leave. In QuickBooks entered: daily deposited credit card payments made through Payment NetSuite; coded chargebacks, accrued payroll of final paychecks manually written, checks for damage settlements, ACH payments; and Direct to/from payments appearing in deposits under wrong franchise. 

 

In Paycor entered hours of drivers and movers from closed sales orders in Movers Who Care ERP system schedule and daily Employee Payroll Detail reports; added 11 new hire employees, including myself. Completed online/FAXed employer responses of human resources state paperwork for Monetary Information (BC2), Monetary with Separation Request (BC3E) and other wage requests of former employees arriving in the mail. After biweekly payroll calculated Revenue check using MWC and totals of payroll categories. Ran spreadsheets in Paycor for benefits insurance broker census survey of employees both active and terminated as well as 401K annual payroll audit.

Paid 2022 Quarter IV sales tax for both Birdish Inc and Post Avenue Services LLC. Also to improve company recordkeeping, voluntarily downloaded various online PDF invoices from utilities and other vendors to upload into company Google Drive for easy access and to build historical files of accounts payable. Helped to assemble credit card expense report with receipts and downloads. While an employee earned 966 Stick Men University points leading the local Princeton offices and earning certificates in Communications and Search Engine Optimization and SMU certificates nearly completed for Accounting and Budget.

For other business Radiant Waxing (Parrot Head Services LLC), completed 2022 U.S. Economic Workforce Survey online and while training entered corporate ACH invoices into QuickBooks Online with Salon Director/ Bookkeeper. Encouraged boss to have a separate credit card for Radiant Waxing expenses so as not to intermingle with other businesses.

Part-time Bookkeeper for small machine shop with responsibilities in accounting and brand communications. Weekly payroll, daily order entry and invoicing, Accounts Payable and Receivable, taxes, general filing, Excel, Job Boss Software and QuickBooks.

Sales Tax Assistant Clerk/ General Office Assistant
INTERLINE BRANDS: A HOME DEPOT COMPANY

​

Began with Wilmar/Interline Brands as a temporary until asked to stay on as an employee in 2008. Originally as a General Office Assistant reporting to the Tax Manager. Responsibilities included: reviewing the customers sales tax exemption certificates; state sales tax audit reviews; assisting Payroll with filing and the mailroom; maintain the ERP RS6000 customer sales tax exempt certificates on file that were missing or expired through large mailings, Get Paid and Avalara CertCapture; put account numbers to new acquisitions certificates integrated into the ERP system; create cover letter templates in CertCapture; various projects for the Sales Tax Manager

​

Accounts Receivable Support 2008-2012 who used a bank check scanner to deposit the daily checks that arrived by mail to the Mount Laurel office; run calculator tally tapes and kept an Excel spreadsheet of deposits for the Cash Department; processed J.A. Sexauer (now SupplyWorks) vouchers that came to the office for a signature and kept copies of signed vouchers in an accordion folder; facilitated transition by providing long distance guidance and an address sheet for the lady collector in Jacksonville, Florida who took over the vouchers when leaving Accounts Receivable for the Tax Department; 
redirected to the FL collector the Sexauer vouchers that arrived in New Jersey and the bank lockbox; also crossed off the NJ address for customers to instead mail them to the New York post office box for Customer Service; continued some time after to interoffice incoming vouchers to FL; retrieved Proof of Deliveries (POD); checked and dispersed the daily FAXes in the public folder to Mount Laurel collections and sent the incoming checks by UPS to the lockbox; then gave guidance to the collectors that took over when I left the department.

 

Promoted to Sales Tax Assistant in 2011 when Interline Brands purchased online sales tax exemption software from the vendor CertCapture. The main Administrator who offered suggestions for better user experience directly to the provider that resulted in implementation. Presided over 250,000 exemption certificates for a customer database of over two million accounts. In 2017, The Home Depot offshored the Interline Brands Tax Department to Tata Consultancy Services (T.C.S.) contractors in India - assembled a 30 page packet of sales tax procedures as a guide for them.

A temporary after college who received first paycheck from them. Assignments were short, long, and reoccurring, to name a few including: Commerce Bank (statement rendering); Swets Blackwell (organizing filing cabinet drawers for files to be moved in); Canon Business Solutions (filing and data entry); and 38 months exclusively for Wilmar/Interline Brands from September 9, 2005 until hired October 31, 2008 (see above).
